Classifying Multistory vs. Single Story Building Features

The classification of building features requires determining whether the entire feature is single or multistory.  Use the rules below to classify the number of stories in buildings when the number of stories is unclear.

    1. Each story must be a potentially habitable level of a building that is EITHER:
      1. Completely above the level of soil all the way around the building.
      2. With full size windows or a door opening at ground level on at least one side of the story.
