Authors of Guide to Anthropogenic Biomes of the World (v1)

Andrew Petit de Mange and Kelly Kennedy produced this guide as part of their joint Independent Study Project in Spring 2008 under the advisement of Erle Ellis at the Department of Geography & Environmental Systems at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  The goal of their project was to expand the description of the Anthropogenic Biome (Anthromes) mapped by Ellis and Ramankutty (2008) using both the original global dataset used to identify them and to enhance this using climate data.  This website was built as an educational tool to present basic information about the Anthrome classes in an easily navigable and viewable format for use by students, educators, researchers, and professionals.

Andrew Petit de Mange  Andrew Petit de Mange, earned a B.S. in Environmental Science in the spring of 2008 from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  He plans to work within the ecology community as an environmental consultant and researcher.  In addition, he expects to continue academic and research pursuits while attending graduate school in the coming years.
