Project: A Global Assessment of Landscape Fragmentation

Landscape Mapping (Kerala, India)
A global sample of landscapes are being mapped from high resolution imagery to measure and model global relationships between human populations, land use and landscape structure.

Work on this project began in Spring 2008, as a collaboration between Erle Ellis (UMBC), Mutlu Ozdogan (University of Wisconsin) and David Potere (Princeton).
Landscape mapping Mapping work by Scott Sener and Tom Lester (UMBC undergraduates). An NSF REU grant from the Baltimore Ecosystem Study supported work by Scott Sener.  Tom Lester was a Shriver Intern.
