Specific Mapping Rules

This page provides specialized feature mapping rules under conditions when basic feature mapping rules are not specific enough. 
These rules were derived by practical experience to solve complex mapping problems encountered in the field, to guarantee consistent and repeatable feature mapping under complex conditions.

Description
Large Disturbed & Ornamental FeaturesA standard procedure for cutting large Disturbed and Ornamental features into smaller parts for consistent groundtruthing of vegetation cover.
Narrow SidewalksHow to map narrow sidewalks that parallel roads and yards or parks with narrow strips of vegetation in between.  This is especially confusing when sidewalks are less than the minimum linear feature mapping width (2 m).
Driveways How to map driveways connecting to houses, as part of housing features, or as independent features.
Multiple Stories Rules for classifying building features that fall between the definition of one vs. multiple stories.
